The Humanscale QuickStand Lite in all its glory!

The Humanscale QuickStand Lite in all its glory!

For a little over 60 years now, the Red Dot Product Design Award has been helping consumers all over the world distinguish products with quality designs and engineering from products with, well, not those things. So when the Humanscale QuickStand Lite walked away with the award for the “Best of the Best” category, it warmed the cockles of my heart.

We added the QuickStand Lite to our site just a few months ago and it’s nice to see it making a splash so soon after its introduction. This new design from Humanscale features a fresh new take on counterbalancing with its new mechanism, as well as an adjustable keyboard, and a monitor arm platform with excellent stability for typing. It even has wire-management to keep your workspace from looking like an episode of Hoarders. Best of all it attaches to already existing workspaces, so it’s a great option if you can’t fully upgrade to a height adjustable desk.

This year’s RDPD Awards saw a record number of entries from 57 countries, and were assessed by 41 renowned specialists, designers, professors, and journalists. The entries were rated on their functionality, degree of innovation, quality, and ecological compatibility among other criteria making this a very big win for the Humanscale QuickStand.
